Description
Queen Clea is (was) the Queen of Venturia in Atlantis, and fought several battles with Wonder Woman in the golden age--mostly centering around her attempts to either regain her own throne or to conquer Auriana, a neighboring state. In recent years, Clea has been upgraded to the modern canon as well, leading Villainy Inc and carrying the Trident of Neptune, which when combined with her Atlantean strength and stamina makes her a powerful match for Wonder Woman.

Clea: "I see you're finally awake, Wonder Woman! Do you recognize me?" Wonder Woman: "Clea! Of coarse I recognize you! And I see that you tied my hands behind my back with my own golden lasso!" Clea: "That's right, Wonder Woman! I know that your lassois indestructable and that it compels you to obey whoever binds you with it! Now, Wonder Woman, on your knees! Kneel before Queen Clea!" Wonder Woman (as she kneels before Clea): "I must obey Clea as long as she keeps me bound with the golden lasso!" Clea: "Excellent, Wonder Woman! I also know that without this belt (as she grabs Wonder Woman's magic belt)-you're powerless!" Wonder Woman: "Merciful Minerva! That's my magic belt-the source of my Amazon powers when I'm away from Paradise Island! I'm now completely helpless!"I
